We are a non-profit, membership based organization that helps make it easier to do business in Halifax. We’re in your corner. 

The Chamber can help build your network, save you money and increase your profile. If you’re willing to put in some work, we know you’ll see the results! Don’t believe us?

Membership rates are structured by size of an organization. We also offer a helpful monthly payment plan to make it easier for you.

We have a membership of over 1,900 organizations that represent over 94,000 employees. While most of our members have less than 25 employees, we also work with large organizations with over 500 staff. They range in industries and areas of expertise, but all have one thing in common: they want to do business in Halifax.

We do not sell or distribute our membership list as per CASL compliance. Our members are listed on our Member Directory.

The Greater Burnside Business Association is an excellent resource for businesses in Burnside.

Complaints about businesses can be directed to the Better Business Bureau and they will take suitable action.

We do not send mass emails to our membership on behalf of other organizations. As part of our commitment to members, the Chamber sends one regular email per week and a maximum of one additional “special bulletin” email per week to its members. Due to the volume of requests we get from members and outside parties to access this list, we are not able to send emails on behalf of third parties. We do host a Member-to-Member Marketplace to feature these offers.

We do not send emails on behalf of other organizations. We do however, offer advertising at a reduced member-rate. We also recommend that Chamber Members tag us in your social media posts and we will do our best to share.

We have a great lineup of speakers that present at our Chamber events. If you want to learn more about potential speaking opportunities, please fill out a speaker request form.

If you’re looking for an introduction to a specific person, we can help with that. Our top recommendation would be to come out to some of our networking events to get face to face with other members. Or, you can visit our member directory!

While the Chamber is an excellent resource tool, we would recommend you talk to the experts in this field. The Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) specializes in helping people start their business.

The Nova Scotia Association of Realtors has excellent information that can help you choose the next place you call home.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce can provide you with a Carnet.

Register for any event online. After you register, email yes@halifaxchamber.com referencing “Chamber Bucks” in the subject line and the event you have registered for. Your Chamber Bucks will be applied to your invoice (with or without a remaining balance) and will be emailed to you.

You can also use your Chamber Bucks for advertising in our e-newsletter. Emily at emily@halifaxchamber.com to book your spot.
