How much does a membership cost?

Membership rates are structured by size of an organization. We also offer a helpful monthly payment plan to make it easier for you. Membership Information

Who are the other Chamber Members?

We have a membership of over 1,900 organizations that represent over 94,000 employees. While most of our members have less than 25 employees, we also work with large organizations with over 500 staff. They range in industries and areas of expertise, but all have one thing in common: they want to do business in Halifax. Check out our Member Directory

How do I obtain a list of Chamber Members?

We do not sell or distribute our membership list as per CASL compliance. Our members are listed on our Member Directory.

I'm looking for business directories for the Burnside/Halifax areas?

The Greater Burnside Business Association is an excellent resource for businesses in Burnside. Please contact www.greaterburnside.com

I have a complaint about a business listed on your directory. What should I do?

Complaints about businesses can be directed to the Better Business Bureau and they will take suitable action. Please contact the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org

Can the Chamber send out an email on my behalf about an offer for other Chamber Members?

We do not send mass emails to our membership on behalf of other organizations. As part of our commitment to members, the Chamber sends one regular email per week and a maximum of one additional "special bulletin" email per week to its members. Due to the volume of requests we get from members and outside parties to access this list, we are not able to send emails on behalf of third parties. We do host a Member-to-Member Marketplace to feature these offers.

Can you send an email about my event to the Chamber membership?

We do not send emails on behalf of other organizations. We do however, offer advertising at a reduced member-rate. Find advertising opportunities here. We also recommend that Chamber Members tag us in your social media posts and we will do our best to share.

Can I give a presentation to other Chamber Members about my business?

We have a great lineup of speakers that present at our Chamber events. If you want to learn more about potential speaking opportunities, please fill out a speaker request form.

Can you help put me in touch with other Chamber Members?

If you're looking for an introduction to a specific person, we can help with that. Our top recommendation would be to come out to some of our networking events to get face to face with other members. Or, you can visit our member directory!

How do I submit news or an article to Business Voice?

We are happy to accept news and articles from our membership for Business Voice online. You can find the guidelines and submission forms here.

Do you rent your boardroom?

We offer boardroom rentals between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm from Monday to Friday. You can find more information about our Boardroom Rentals.

While the Chamber is an excellent resource tool, we would recommend you talk to the experts in this field. The Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development specializes in helping people start their business. Please contact CEED at www.ceed.ca

How do I obtain a Carnet?

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce can provide you with a Carnet. You can find more information here.

How do I use my Chamber Bucks?

Register for any event online. After you register, email yes@halifaxchamber.com referencing "Chamber Bucks" in the subject line and the event you have registered for. Your Chamber Bucks will be applied to your invoice (with or without a remaining balance) and will be emailed to you.
