Hosted at your location, these events create a memorable moment to showcase your business’ expansion, relocation, grand opening, major anniversary, ground-breaking construction, or customer number milestone. With the Chamber supporting promotion and visibility, it’s a powerful way to launch your next chapter. Ribbon Cuttings are a benefit for Halifax Chamber of Commerce Members only.  

Our signature Spring and Fall Dinners provide members with meaningful opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and stay connected to the issues shaping Halifax’s business community. Focused on a key opportunity or challenge the region faces, these events bring business leaders together to gain valuable insights, prepare for change, and discover opportunities for growth. Attendees leave with new connections, opportunistic insights, and a stronger understanding of how they can contribute to a thriving Halifax region.  

Since 2018, our signature full-day Wonder Women Conference has brought together bold and ambitious women. Creating a community of inclusivity, the Wonder Women Conference encourages women to own their ambition, break down barriers, and empower each other to take on new and expanded roles in work, community and life.  

Bringing people together to network, learn, and empower each other, attendees enjoy hearing from a variety of thought leaders through keynotes and workshops, our signature Wonder Women Marketplace showcasing local businesses, and walk away with tools empowering their continued success.

State of the Municipality brings together business and community leaders for a firsthand look at the priorities, progress, and future direction in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Following a similar format to Halifax Chamber Luncheons, attendees have an opportunity to network and connect with peers before hearing directly from the Mayor through a featured address and fireside chat with the President and CEO of the Chamber. The event provides valuable insight into the policies, projects, and investments shaping our city and its future.  

Halifax Chamber Luncheons bring together leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers for timely conversations on the issues shaping our region’s economy and business community. Designed to foster both connection and learning, each event begins with an opportunity to network, followed by a meal and an engaging program featuring a mix of keynote speakers and panel discussions.  

Attendees gain valuable insights, hear firsthand from influential voices across business, community, government, and industry, and build meaningful relationships that support collaboration and growth. These events serve as a platform for the ideas, conversations, and partnerships that help build a stronger Halifax. 

State of the Province brings together business and community leaders to discuss a high-level overview of the advocacy, priorities, current progress, and future opportunities the business community has in Nova Scotia.

Economic Engine brings together political leaders, industry experts, economists, and business decision-makers to explore the forces shaping Nova Scotia’s future. Through keynote presentations, fireside chats, panel discussions, and audience conversations, attendees gain valuable insights into current economic trends, emerging opportunities, and the challenges impacting growth across our region.  

Designed to foster informed dialogue and forward-thinking solutions, Economic Engine highlights a positive, realistic, and optimistic vision for Nova Scotia’s economy while creating opportunities for leaders to share perspectives, spark new ideas, and help shape the path forward.  

Small Business Big Growth celebrates the entrepreneurs, innovators, and local businesses that help Halifax thrive. Through a week-long series of events, experiences, and community activities, attendees discover local businesses, hear their stories, and connect with the people shaping our region’s economy.  

From networking opportunities and business spotlights to interactive activities and community experiences, Small Business Big Growth highlights small business’s impacts while fostering meaningful connections, local recognition, and support for Halifax’s entrepreneurial community.  

Pints & Pointers bring together entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals for a relaxed blend of networking, refreshments, and expert-led conversation on topics that help businesses grow, adapt, and thrive. Hosted at local breweries, restaurants, and community venues, each event is shorter than our other events and designed to be engaging and approachable; attendees have the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, exchange ideas, and ask questions directly to local experts.  

Our Momentum events are designed to start the day with purpose. Bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and lifelong learners, this morning series combines expert-led learning, interactive discussion, and peer-to-peer connection in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Hosted over a light breakfast, each session is designed to provide its attendees with practical takeaways and new ideas that are immediately implementable within their organizations to better navigate today’s business challenges. Momentum events create a space to learn from industry experts, exchange ideas with peers, and expand professional network—leaving attendees energized, informed, and ready to make the most of the day ahead

Power Lunches provide members with complimentary professional development opportunities, designed to gather business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals for practical learning and meaningful connections. Each session begins with networking over lunch before diving into an engaging presentation and interactive Q&A led by a thought leader or industry expert.  

Designed to share actionable insights and real-world expertise, Power Lunches leave attendees with new ideas, valuable connections, and practical tools they can apply within their organizations while strengthening Halifax’s business community.  

The Halifax Chamber hosts a variety of partially funded training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions, designed to help members build new skills, strengthen their organizations, and stay ahead of emerging business trends. Utilizing WIPSI (the province’s Workplace Innovation and Productivity Skills Incentive) and WEI (Workplace Education Initiative), our workshop sessions range from ten-week courses to immersive full-day learning experiences, often featuring industry experts, interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and practical tools that participants can apply immediately in their businesses.  

Typical topics include leadership development, sales and business growth, ESG and sustainability, AI, communications, workplace culture, and workforce attraction and retention.
